Nintendo Sets 3DS Announcement Date

Nintendo have today set a date for the announcement of the release date and pricing of the 3DS.

Coming out alongside their financial results for the first quarter of this year, which saw Nintendo make a loss of 184m for the quarter, Nintendo announced that they will reveal all in regards to the 3DS, including pricing and release date on September 29th, just over a week or so after the Tokyo Game Show comes to a close.

The timing fits with previous years where a Fall conference has been called and release dates given for holiday release titles so hopefully news will come in regards to the big holiday releases, such as Kirby's Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns

Unfortunately, the announcement didn't detail whether a release date and pricing would be given for all regions. Stay tuned to DS-x2 for news on the hotly anticipated 3DS release date and pricing.
