Thor the game announced

Sega have announced that they are developing a video game of Thor to coincide with the big screen outing, of the hammer wielding hero, next summer.

The game will allow players to take control of Thor and unleash his unique powers on an array of enemies from the many worlds of Norse Mythology.

"We are proud to be bringing Thor to his first solo video game adventure," commented Gary Knight, Senior Vice President of Marketing at SEGA Europe and SEGA America. "Thor: The Video Game will finally bring the immense power of this iconic hero to lifelong fans, and introduce the God of Thunder to a whole new audience as a true Marvel Super Hero."

While little else is know about the title fans of the comic books will be pleased to learn that author Matt Fraction is on-board as the games story consultant. The game will be released be released on all major formats including the Nintendo DS and Wii.
