WII Move aside Wii Play, Wii Party is your better younger brother...

Wii Play held the status of been the game to get- if you wanted another Wiimote. Now Nintendo wants to change that, putting out a proper Party title with the Wii branding. Meet Wii Party.

Wii Party is what Nintendo president Satoru Iwata dubs as the next "marquee party" title for the Wii. Which Nintendo revealed to investors last month. Iwata claims that over 160 Million Miis have been created worldwide, which is why it's only natural for Nintendo to create a party game for them.

Iwata also mentioned during its initial revealing that "Nintendo has not launched a marquee party game since Mario Party 8, launched in summer 2007". As well as stating that with the Wii numbers and the sales of Mario Party that they hope Wii Party will be a good title in this fiscal year for them.

The game is set to release on July 8th in Japan, which is why new details are starting to flood in. Japanese website HMV had the game listed on the site revealing a few more details about the title.

Revealed are three mini games within the title:

Wanwan Karuta - which is a 4 player game in which the Wiimote speaker makes different sounds, you have to figure out what the sound matches to on screen.

Remote Control Hide and Seek - Hide your Wiimote in the room you're playing in and other players will find it based on the sounds it makes.

Sensitive Bomb - Pretend the Wiimote is like a bomb, and pass it around without shaking it so it doesn't get set off.

It was also revealed that all these games are part of the 'living party' mode. There are three modes of play and within the living party mode there are six titles.

There will be over 80 mini-games in standard mode however. Which include titles like Bingo, Roulette and more. The game will be released in a Wiimote bundle when it launches in Japan next month.
