Epic Rumours for Epic Mickey

The Nintendo Wii title Epic Mickey seems to be getting some epic rumours attached to the title as E3 2010 approaches.

Rumours surrounding Epic Mickey indicate that the game will be given a visual makeover.

The highly anticipated Nintendo Wii game was revealed last year. Since then we have learned a few things about the title, such as its history on the other consoles in the market, and the intended "gimmicks" and ideas which will immerse the player.

But now it's rumoured that the visual style will resemble much more of the original artwork and concept sketches which graced the pages of Game Informer. Head of this rumour is French site, Gamekyo which also reports that a possible USA release date is September 17th.

The rumour is possible, as it's reported that Epic Mickey is one of the games shown to media sites pre-E3 which is currently under embargo.

It's unknown that if this rumour is true, if the game itself will sway much from the original screenshots revealed we have seen. After all it could just been a more polished graphic set.

As far as I know at this moment, the game is/has undergone a visual upgrade. The game was looking a bit on the basic side when it was first shown but I know they're trying to get it as close as possible to the concept art that they can get it, which is still difficult on any console available at the moment. Still, I'm very interested in this game and we'll see the changes in about 2 weeks time (I'd say it's likely Nintendo might have it as one of the third party titles at their conference). Disney have been on a roll recently with titles (even most of their more recent movie tie-ins have been above average).

I hope it does, the dark Mickey is what drew my interest. Without that dripping paint effect it looks just like a cheaper version of Kingdom Heart. Remember how beautiful the paint brush technique that Street Fighter 4 had on its previews? And remember how the actual game look nothing like that?
