WII Two New Reviews

We had no reviews last weekend (due to the Easter Break) but that doesn't mean that our reviewers weren't hard at work and here's Chris with two new Wii offerings.

Red Steel 2 should need no introduction (it's on our banner after all) but was this sequel, to a launch title, worth the wait? Chris gives it the once over in his full review here.

We don't do many WiiWare reviews but Megaman 10 simply couldn't be overlooked. Continuing Capcom's 8 Bit rivival is this worth a download? Chris puts the game to the test in his full review here.

  • I'm wondering how long Capcom will continue with the 8 bit Megaman games now. Review 10 was a blast but I can see it losing its shine with some gamers if they continue on like this. I've spoken to some people who've said they'd like to see the next one go 16 bit which would be a nice change. And Red Steel 2 was fantastic. Really, it's reason enough to get a MotionPlus if you haven't got one yet. I just hope this isn't the last we'll see of it on the Wii. I think we'll get another one but whether it remains Wii only I'm not sure given the motion controllers for the other consoles, particularly on Sony's side. It certainly deserves a sequel on the Wii thats for sure, though. And who would have thought we'd be saying that given the pedigree, or lack of pedigree, of the first one.

  • I love both of them, but it seems this new era of dumbed down gaming has taking its toll on me, I had trouble playing Megaman 10 on normal.

  • ^ As did I. I wasn't really having trouble getting through the levels (mainly a few timing issues on my part) but it was working out a strategy for the bosses and a suitable order to play the levels on normal to get the least amount of trouble. Never used to be a problem for me.
