Rodent! Oh wait... It's Hamtaro, the friendly hamster searching for his friends in "Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Outbreak".

Nintendo has announced a new Hamtaro game (this time for your GBA). A mean hamster called Spat has been creating fights betweeen all the nice hamsters (except for superhero hamster Hamtaro, of course). Hamtaro decides to go and help fix the friendships together with his pals Bijou and Harmony (an angelic hamster).

In order to help Hamtaro, you'll have to learn how to speak 'Hamster' (or: Ham-Chat). More than 80 different words are needed to communicate with your fellow rodent and solve their problems. Luckily for you, all words will have their own Ham-Jam-dance-move, so that it'll be easier to remember. The dancemoves also come in handy when entering a dance competition, or to trade with other players (comment: Wow! trading words...)

But the game gets even weirder: Hamtaro and Bijou can dress up in different outfits and have a picture taken in a photo-studio. The costumes are acquired by trading sunflower seeds...

Hamtaro is scheduled for a release on April 7th in the US. For now, just these screens:
