WII Two New Reviews

Chris has taken on some of the latest Wii racers this weekend and the scores do seem to be a little higher than the last few weeks.

We've already looked at the DS version of EA's Need for Speed Nitro but is the Wii version a more satisfying experience? Chris gives it the once over in his full review here.

Sony Entertainment has controlled the F1 license for some years not but thankfully Codemasters stepped last years to bring F1 2009 to the Wii but was it worth the wait? Chris puts the game to the test in his full review here.

  • Both of these were good. Really enjoyable and good starting points to build from. I'm still baffled, however, as to how these games still fail to match the standards of games from last generation. Need for Speed has an more cartoon-y style but F1 2009 doesn't match up with even the PS2 entries. It just baffles me that with a more powerful console we still haven't had a racing game met the graphical/presentational fidelity of the likes of say Gran Turismo 3 or even F Zero GX.

  • Oh and also, these games respectively make my 99th and 100th reviews for the site. Seems like a lot less. Must be because I've enjoyed writing them. Here's to the next 100 and more.
