Nintendo to release WiIWare demos

During a Q&A session, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata announced that WiiWare demos will hit the Wii by the end of this month.

During a Q&A sesion, Satoru Iwata revealed that Nintendo is planning to release demos of WiiWare titles in Japan before the end of November. At first, the demos will become available as a test, to see whether a new part of Wii owners will decide to open the Wii Shopping Channel. As a fact, most Wii owners now fire up the Shopping Channel only when they're already after a specific title. The new demos should attract a wider audience and try to convince gamers to buy more (in the end, we're always talking cash of course).

Up to now, no further details have been released. We expect the first firm facts on the new service (whether global or Japan-only for now) will hit the Web within a few days.
