This Weeks DSi and WiiWare Downloads
In this week's packed Wii Shop Channel update, return to the FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES universe on WiiWare, and celebrate the 300th Virtual Console release as the Hanabi Festival continues. Meanwhile, the Nintendo DSi Shop welcomes the return of a much-loved puzzler!
Introducing a new kind of hero - or should that be villainess? FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES My Life as a Darklord is a WiiWare-exclusive real time strategy game with a devilish twist: you play as the bad guy (or, in this case, the girl)! Virtual Console hits the 300th title mark as the Hanabi Festival enters its third week, with two golden greats previously unreleased in Europe. Pilot your Metallic Unimg class="MyIframe" Super Hybrid Armour in legendary shoot 'em up MUSHA, and hone your table tennis skills in Smash Table Tennis. Last but not least, on Nintendo DSiWare you can download the latest addition to a classic series - A Little Bit of... Puzzle League. WiiWARE - FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a Darklord (SQUARE ENIX, 1,000 Wii Points):
Step into the royal shoes of the Darklord's daughter as she installs traps and monsters inside her tower to fight back the endless waves of invading adventurers in this world-conquest RPG. Placing monsters and floors with traps, called "Artifacts," inside your demonic tower is your only hope to keep the adventurers from destroying the Dark Crystal on the top floor. Fly across the land and conquer every stage on your way to dominating the entire world! VIRTUAL CONSOLE - MUSHA (SEGA MEGA DRIVE) (NAXAT SOFT, 900 Wii Points):
MUSHA is an all-time favourite among vertical shooter fans for its intense action and exciting gameplay. You are Terri, a girl who pilots a M.U.S.H.A. (Metallic Unimg class="MyIframe" Super Hybrid Armour). Terri's goal is to eliminate Dire 51, an Intellicomputer that has gone out of control and is planning an attack upon humanity. Use special weapons like the Vanishing Buster, Blazing Beam and Defensive Detonator to defeat your enemies. Choose from six different types of offensive formation and fly through seven exhilarating levels to finally destroy Dire 51 once and for all! VIRTUAL CONSOLE - Smash Table Tennis (NES) (NINTENDO, 600 Wii Points):
Over 20 years after its original release on the Famicom Disk System in Japan, this speedy table tennis game is making its European debut on Virtual Console. Play against the computer or a friend in a best-of-three table tennis showdown. The goal is to reach a set amount of points while maintaining a two-point lead. Use the full range of controls - smash, lob, forehand and backhand - to beat your opponent and send the crowd wild. And look out for a special appearance by Donkey Kong Jr. in the audience! NINTENDO DSiWARE - A Little Bit of... Puzzle League (NINTENDO, 500 DSi Points):
The ever-popular Puzzle League comes to Nintendo DSiWare. Like all good puzzlers, the concept is simple: connect blocks of the same colour to clear them from the screen, and prevent your stack from becoming too high. There are four single player modes to choose from: Endless (survive to earn a top score), Clear (eliminate all blocks above the line), Score Attack (score as high as possible in two minutes), and Vs. COM (use items and combos to attack a computer opponent). You can choose from a variety of background music to get you 'in the zone', and even play in horizontal or vertical mode, holding the Nintendo DSi normally or like a book. Whichever way you play, you're guaranteed maximum fun!
