Assassin's Creed 2 Heading for the DS?

Play: the site which sells just about everything entertainment related, have recently began listing a DS release for Assassin's Creed 2.

Assassin's Creed 2 is the follow-up to the title that became the fastest-selling new IP in video game history. The highly anticipated title features a new hero, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, a young Italian noble, and a new era, the Renaissance.

Assassin's Creed 2 retains the core gameplay experience that made the first opus a resounding success and features new experiences that will surprise and challenge players.

Assassin's Creed 2 is an epic story of family, vengeance and conspiracy set in the pristine, yet brutal, backdrop of a Renaissance Italy. Ezio befriends Leonardo da Vinci, takes on Florence's most powerful families and ventures throughout the canals of Venice where he learns to become a master assassin.

There's no concrete details yet regarding the DS version but we are treated to the box art (which shows an 18 rating), the teaser trailer and a release date of 13th November. You can see it all now by going to Play's official site.

  Not sure about this. Play are always quick to put titles up for pre-order and sometimes, they are wrong. Brutal Legend on Wii is still up for pre-order there yet that hasn't and I doubt will be announced. I think there'll be another Assassin's Creed title on the DS but it'll be an off shot from the main story, like Altair's Chronicles.

  The first game was okay at best, so more of the same thing won't become good. And that link didn't show any gameplay or previews to prove otherwise.
