NDS 3D Realms closing; Duke Nukem Trilogy still on track

With rumours on 3D Realms closing down running throughout gaming-land, Deep Silver contacted us this morning about Duke Nukem Trilogy.

Yesterday, rumours about a closure of 3D Realms, the company behind the famous Duke Nukem series, started appearing on the web. Whereas these same rumours sadly appear to be based on the truth, this leaves us all with the question on the status of Duke Nukem Trilogy for Nintendo DS and PSP.

Earlier today, the PR department of publisher Deep Silver contacted us through e-mail with the following message: "Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms. Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned."

Even though the message above calmed our minds about the upcoming DS action title, it also more or less confirmed the problems at 3D Realms.
