Capcom today confirmed it has signed a development agreement with UK based Monumental Games. Under the terms of the agreement Monumental Games will develop an as yet unannounced multi-platform title scheduled for release and published by Capcom later this year.
Although Capcom decided not to reveal any details on the new project yet, a brief look at Monumental Games' website reveals that the company is speaking of the project already: "We can't reveal the franchise as yet, but we can say we're both proud and excited to be working on it. As you would expect given our core technology, there's a substantial online element, but the gameplay focus is pure adrenalin."
But then, one might still wonder what platform the game might appear at. On to the recruitment area for more information. At the time of writing, Monumental has two platform-specific job listings available: for experienced PS3 and Wii developers. According to the Wii developer job listing, Monumental Games is working on a "Wii SKU on a next generation racing title". The earlier mentioned adrenaline and racing SKU do make sense. Could the new title be heading for Wii as well?
