The Obama Effect and Weekly Sales Numbers
With a 4 to 1 ratio of Wii sales in the U.S. compared to Japan, their uncertain economy and hopes of president-elect Barack Obama's 'new New Deal' affects Nintendo more than we might think. Weekly sales favored Nintendo Co.
Each hopeful pronouncement and promise of a quick, thorough track to economic security, president-elect Barack Obama has had increasing function in how Nintendo stocks fare, reports Bloomberg News. It is important to note that Bloomberg and other financial news wires have contended when Barack Obama speaks, Japanese exporters rise; from the moment he was elected. Hopefully this will continue, but after a weeklong winning streak, U.S. jobless numbers dipped Nintendo nearly 6 percent at week's close.
Here are the most recent numbers from Media Create for the week of December 29 to January 4. All Nintendo console titles were published by Nintendo.
