ESRB Lists Guitar Hero: Modern Hits
It once again happened: the ESRB listing showed a title prior to the official announcement. This time it appears that Activision is planning to release Guitar Hero: Modern Hits exclusively for Nintendo DS.
The ESRB usually rates software before it is released in the United States. To inform parents of what the software of their children contains, the ESRB has recently added a small description of the listed games. Now this added information helps us a little further on the contents of Guitar Hero: Modern Hits.
As the ESRB states, the game is (how surprising) "a music and rhythm simulation game in which players can perform songs on a guitar. Players follow on-screen prompts to hit notes in-time with the music and are scored based on their accuracy. Some song lyrics contain references to violence, (e.g., 'drop dead a bullet to my head'), alcohol (e.g., 'turn the rich into wine' and 'we stole and drank champagne'), and suggestive content (e.g., 'if your body matches what your eyes can do')."
Fans might have already recognized some of the titles above, but based on the statement above we can conclude that the new Guitar Hero title for Nintendo DS will feature songs by (at least) Sum41, Franz Ferdinand and Finger Eleven.
Activision has not yet commented on the existence of Guitar Hero: Modern Hits.
