Factor 5 Shutting Down
The rumor has been flying around for the last couple of days but now several people, including inside sources, are confirming Factor 5 is closing their doors.
Factor 5, an independent game developer, who have been around for 21 years may have officially closed their doors last night. According to several sources Factor 5 has been hit by the economic crisis which has resulted in their shutting down.
Along with this bad news many knew that Factor 5 were working on several Nintendo Wii titles, and one of them was the heavily rumored Kid Icarus. It is still unconfirmed they were developing Kid Icarus for Nintendo but if so the chances of Kid Icarus seeing the light of day on the Nintendo Wii have just got a lot slimmer.

Tey were developing Thornado, as far as I can say. The one about Kid Icarus was only a rumor. A game like Kid Icarus should be developed by the Metroid team at Nintendo R&D1, i think that a Lair-esque type of game should be very bad.
I think that if they are closing down, you get the feeling that the Kid Icarus rumours were untrue purely because they would have had monetary backing from Nintendo which probably would have kept them up. We'll have to wait till tomorrow to see if it's true or not and we'll probably have to wait even longer to see what's gonna happen to these guys. Condolences to the guys and gals who worked there as, apart from Lair, every title they made was great.
The chances of Kid Icarus haven't got slimmer, it just means that Factor 5 isn't doing it. Nothing was ever confirmed anyway.
Am I the only one that want Kid Icarus made by Nintendo and not outsourced?
