Wii Speak Short on Talk
Nintendo decides to limit the transfer of Wii Speak. You can use it on your Wii alone, but if you have other plans for it; to the waste bin it goes.
The upcoming Nintendo Wii Speak - a microphone that lets you communicate to other Wii users online - comes with a 16 character code to download the "Wii Speak" channel. This is a onetime use code, which cannot be restored or transferred. This means you can never resell your already limited chat peripheral, or give it away or use it with another Wii Console after the first download.
We know game companies, especially Nintendo, hate used game sales; but this is some long sought hardware!
So why limit the accessibility of Wii Speak?
Ars Technica, the technocrat watchdogs, sum it up nicely. "Be warned: this is certainly but the first move in what promises to be an all-out assault on the used game market."
