GBA Website stuff

You might have had some (minor?) difficulties on this site lately. Wanna know why?

You might have had some (minor?) difficulties on this site lately. The problem was switching server.

Installing the old newsscript wasn't exactly easy to do, so I decided to write my very own (had to learn a complete new programming language to do so).

I apologize for the problem you might have encountered, and for those you will encounter (not everything is working a-ok yet), but most of the site now works.

The site itself has faced some minor changes as well: The Gossip section is now history. Those rumours worthy enough of posting will from now on be posted in the normal News section. News-headlines have changed in layout (wider table, easier to read I hope) ImageGallery introduced. This is one of the items which isn't working perfectly yet since some game-titles show up in the list, while there aren't any images available... Reviewsmenu has disappeared. Let me know what you prefer: a list of all the games (as it is now), or reintroducing the old reviews-menu. Chatroom. The site now has it's own chatroom. It's located on Irc->Quakenet->#GBAWorld. You can also use the applet on the chat-page. Not everything is arranged on that one yet, still looking for people interested to run the chatroom (moderating)

But that's not it. I'm currently working on last poll's main opinion: Commenting. As soon as I figure out how to construct a secure (and easy) way for you to register and supply your comments on news and/or reviews, I'll put it up. Another thing I'm planning to add to the site, are Readers Reviews. No more emailing then, just type your review, click submit and it'll be online.

Be sure to check out the current status of the site (and report possible bugs) and return later to check out all the news. Happy GBA-ing!
