The Conduit Officially to use MotionPlus
High Voltage have announced that The Conduit, an upcoming First Person Shooter for the Nintendo Wii, will make use of MotionPlus
A while ago rumors went around stating that High Voltage would use MotionPlus within The Conduit, these rumors were then shutdown by High Voltage who said they were yet to decide whether or not the game will use MotionPlus as they were yet to receive their Devkits for it.
MotionPlus has now been confirmed, by Eric Nofsinger from High Voltage, who has said 'œWe're hooking it [MotionPlus] up. We want to support it. Probably for this version of the game there's not going to be a whole ton of really extensive use of the Wii MotionPlus. For the sequel to the game, we definitely do want to incorporate more melee and things like that. We want to support it'¦It would be a mistake for a developer to require too many peripherals or things like that. The game has to be fun with just the Wiimote and nunchuck. Even if you don't have connectivity online, even if you don't have WiiSpeak, even if you don't have Wii MotionPlus'¦if you don't have anything but your Wii and the game, it's got to be fun.'?
Let's just hope it doesn't turn into a gimmicky game.
