Nintendo's Wii Chess Heading to WiiWare

A while back Nintendo released Wii Chess as a full Wii title within Europe. Today it has been announced that Wii Chess will be released as a WiiWare title that will be available in Japan next week and else where later on.

Nintendo of Japan have announced that they will be brining Wii Ches to Japan via WiiWare and that the game will be titled World Chess.

The game of course has every feature found in the European full release, including online play, which can see Europeans now versus the Japanese in a game of chess.

No word of course for Wii Chess to be released in North America as either a WiiWare or full release Wii title but for now you can check out the official Japanese site for World Chess.
