Wii Successor in Production
Just a rumor or is there a little more to this one?
UK Trade Magazine, MCV, are reporting that the successor to the Wii is in production. In the article the Global President Iwata admits the follow-up to the next-gen system is being 'worked on'. He then added 'the current designs having to "be thoroughly vetted' before being ready for market.
He then went on to say 'the hardware team started work on the next thing as soon as they were done with their previous project, but what they think up doesn't necessarily become a product. We only turn something into a product after it's been thoroughly vetted inside the company. We're not at a point where we can give specifics, but of course we're working on it.'
We'll let you know how this story progresses when we have more information.

Doubt it, Nintendo's next modification on Wii will probably for DVD playback feature and different colors.
I'd rather see a new handheld given that the DS is much older now.
let's hope Nintendo doesn't get power crazy and acutually make dual high resolution screens. PSP only has one screen and one CPU it only has 4 ~ 6 hours of battery life, not much for a handheld. Besides from basic reshaping and re-arranging buttons, I don't see what else they can do to it that won't ruin the design.
I'm just looking for something which can handle more complicated 3D visuals.
