Wii Chess - New Info

While we're still waiting for screenshots on Nintendo's own chess title for the Wii, we do have a few snippets of info for you. Head on inside.

This is a brand new 'Touch Generations' title which sports, according to Nintendo, 'varied visuals'. Whatever this means we're not 100% sure on. My best guess is that you can change it from 2D to 3D to cel-shaded, back and forth. Then again this could just refer to 'themes' like Egyptian, Roman, Space-age etc. Local and online multiplayer via Nintendo WFC are confirmed, and all at a 'budget' price tag of £20 (€30). Though one can't help but imagine the game would have been better suited as a Wii-Ware title.

  Agree on such comment, small puzzle game such as this will be more suitable for Wii Ware. Portability and easy accessibility, combine with the fact that you don't have to replace the disc each time you play, Wii Ware will be the best platform for such game. If such is done, they can mark down the game's price to $5 ~ $15 due to the fact that they don't have to produce discs, shipping cost, stocking cost, and store shelf space.
