NDS Advance Wars: Dual Strike 2 screens

Change for the good? Bad? You be the judge. Unofficial screens via jeux-france after the jump.

It seems Intelligent Systems really has made the jump from a cartoon-like art style to a more "realistic" art style. Along with it, the characters and nations are changed as well. If you're a diehard fan of the GBA versions you'll at least be happy to know that gameplay and units appear to be relatively the same. Nintendo has yet to say anything.

  • Is it Advance Wars DS 2 for real, or a similar game? I hope it should have the online multiplayer, like similar turn-based tactical games.

  • Graphical style isn't bad, no improvement but no worse either. As long as the gameplay is unchanged and the classic characters make a return, that's what matters. It'd be nice to see more of a story line as well, with more cutscenes and interaction between characters.

  • Looks awsome, the graphical improvement is something fun to have, but I would like to see some improvement on the battle system. The character story line of Advanced Wars 1, 2, and DS are always my favorite part. Character interaction and backstory kept me on their preorder list for years.

  • its alright that they dropped the cartoony look but how can it be a sequel if they drop the old charachters this isnt going to Iraq dual strike 2 i didnt care much for max and andy but dont get rid of sami i could easily win any map with her and if they got rid of kanbei though as long as there is online play and it has the same gameplay ill buy it
