NDS Time Ace Blasts off in North America

Take a trip through time to alter the course of history in Konami's Time Ace for the Nintendo DS.

Konami today announced it has shipped Time Ace, a fast and explosive shooter for the Nintendo DS, to retail stores nationwide. Letting players travel through time to battle a horrible threat for world domination, the game delivers fast-paced 3D action and multiplayer dogfighting in some of history's most exciting aircraft.

In Time Ace, players assume the role of Dr. Hugo Clock, a peace-loving scientist who has invented a time machine with the intention of preventing World War I from happening. Before he can act on his altruistic plan, the time machine is stolen by his meddling assistant, Klaus Scythe, who begins to unleash an assault on the world using powerful weaponry stolen from the future. As the only other person who knows of the time machine's existence, Dr. Clock must take to the skies and travel through time to put an end to Scythe's scheme once and for all.

Time Ace puts the history of combat aircraft at players' fingertips as they battle through nine unique periods of time to stop Scythe. From World War I biplanes to contemporary jet fighters and even the supersonic aircraft of the future, players will be able to customize their aircraft's firepower, speed and maneuverability as they blast through waves of enemies. The game's fully 3D environments allow for exploration and free-form completion of each stage's goals, encouraging players to look for secret power-ups and attack enemies from a variety of strategic vantage points.

In addition to the single player story mode, Time Ace lets players go head-to-head with multiplayer dogfighting and a variety of mini-games such as racing and obstacle courses. Up to four players can participate in each game type via a local wireless connection.

  • If only they can make another game like Chrono Trigger where as you are completing the quests in the past, the future will be altered. Like when Robo was left behind in the past, hundreds of years later you get him back in what used to be a dessert, now it's a forest.
