Final Fantasy IV... DS?

We recently had Final Fantasy IV released on the Game Boy Advance, but rumour in the Interweb is that Final Fantasy IV will hit the DS in 3D. Update It's official, a first scan of the game is available here (through DS-Gamer.nl).

  Can never have enough Final Fantasy games as they always bring with them thousands of sales. If its true, then good. And it'd make sense after releasing FF3 for DS.

  After the Three Fathers of Final Fantasy, the entire Seiken Densetsu team, and many more programmers left Square to join Mistwalkers, Square couldn't find enough talent to replace them all. So they have been remaking/re-releasing every single Final Fantasy title to squeeze the last cent the can out of those titles while trying to come up with something original that can top Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Cry On, and Archaic Sealed Heat. This delay tactic is sad but effective. Final Fantasy 6 by itself was originally on SFC, then on PSX, then GBA. I am pretty sure it will soon be on DS as well. Having many Final Fantasy is good, but too many of the same thing gets redundant.

  That scan looks good. But what could you expect from a developer who has managed to create a decent 3d engine on the DS. I haven't got FF3 but shall do so soon. This may find its way onto my release list as well. And on that note about 3d engines, does anyone else think that nintendo will show off a new Metroid Prime for DS at this years E3? I would like to see one. And maybe they can sort the online on it so that hackers can't use the invincibility cheat which has just ruined it.

  Cool. Nice to have another FF on the DS. FF3 released here recently. I was planning on buying it, but didnt. havent actually bought any games recently.. @ ganepark I hope not another metroid prime. I mean, it was nice, and the online is good (till people start cheating, yeah), but the trillogy is supposed to be finished now. that long rumoured metroid dread would be nice though. @ lesomeguy wowsh, someone's been paying attention. meh, every company that can has been money-milking popular franchises for all they're worth. I'm just glad zelda has escaped this so far.
