THQ Acquires Mass Media Studios
THQ has added yet another development studio to their property. This time, their eyes were focussed on Mass Media.
THQ today announced that it has acquired Mass Media, Inc. The acquisition will serve to further enhance THQ's internal, next-generation console development capabilities.
"We have aggressively expanded THQ's internal Studio System with a focus on creating innovative, new intellectual properties that take full advantage of the latest gaming technologies," said Jack Sorensen, executive vice president of worldwide studios, THQ. "Mass Media brings a wealth of gaming expertise to our talented, extremely collaborative Studio System."
Mass Media will join THQ's existing group of 15 internal studios working on several next-generation products across console and handheld systems, as well as Windows PC. Recent, award-winning new property launches from THQ's Studio System include Company of Heroes from Relic Entertainment and Saints Row from Volition.
