Spiraltone (Game Boy Advance) - Description

Game Ratings

We're sorry, but we don't have any reviews on this game yet.

Martin Gibbins, Derek Leigh-Gilchrist and Tom Scutt were sick of cdeveloping another Tomb Raider for Core. They decided to start a company of their own: Gatehouse. Their first creation will be Spiraltone, a new RPG for the GBA...

Tom Scutt in an interview with GBADome.nl about Spiraltone:
The potential for role-playing gaming in the hand-held market is massive, as it allows gamers to continue developing their character wherever they go, instead of having to be restricted to their PC at home or at work. Unlike the cartoon linear world typical of GameBoy Advance RPGs, "Spiralstone" will allow gamers to roam freely in a realistic environment set in a dark fantasy world. Players choose and then develop their character in real time, on a journey where there are hundreds of quests to be fulfilled, and opponents such as goblins, skeletons, dragons and giants to be defeated.

Realtime battles are a very welcome option. Turnbased battles are often the reason to quit playing an RPG.

Another really cool option will be the multiplayer option. Singleplayer mode allows you to fullfill your destiny of a quest filled with zillions of strange creatures (storyline yet unknown). Building up strength, skills and magic will be necessary for multiplay...
Together with your friends, you can then fight against the ´forces of evil´ (or eachother). Items can be swapped between different players as well.
