3DS Nintendo reveals 3DS update

Nintendo has announced during Nintendo Direct the 3DS will be getting a firmware update this month.

The update allows users to create folders on the main screen and add icons into the folders. The folders can hold up to 60 games or applications each.

The update will also fix issues with popular titles such as Mario Kart 3DS via a new patching feature. Various glitches will be fixed with the Mario Kart 3DS patch such as the Maka Wuhu shortcut. A few other games will be getting patches such as Kingdom Hearts 3D, Love Plus and Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Nintendo of America tweeted that the update is due out on the 25th of April. Which players can assume this update will be deployed worldwide at the same time.

  • More accomplishments would be nice too. Maybe linked to how many footsteps you have done.

  • Wow, I should umm updated that first paragraph, it didn't really read well. I would love for folders to be intergrated into friends, either in this update or another. It would be great to have folders for specific communities which my friends are from such as "Real Life, Vooks, Nintendo-X2, NeoGaf", or if they are friends for specific games like "Animal Crossing Buddies" etc.

  • I am still collecting all the hats, taking me forever but I am getting there. Can't wait until they release next batch of hats.
