  • I hope Rune Factory comes to the US. As for Animal Crossing... I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD! There is so much new stuff, and hairstyles, and all the stuff in the article in Nintendo Power... I CAN'T WAIT!!!

  • Scans look great, rune factory looks very promising.

  • Not here. The links should be valid for about 30 minutes after you visit this page. Try refreshing the page (shift+F5) and tell me whether it works.

  • The only screens that don't appear in-game the exact same at a smaller or larger ratio are the ones twilight was referring to, but I knew you weren't just talking about the FMV screens when you so generally referred to the CoM scans. Aside from this being a completely 2D title unlike Another Code, the graphics of DS games is only getting better, and this is a good example of that. Will it be exactly like it is in the scans? Obviously not since their already at a higher resolution, but they will be very similar to what you see there. Now if you want an explaination as to why scan 2 is so different I can give you that as well. When on battle fields the game does look different because they use a tile-based system to show enemies just like the other games in the Mana series while the towns and cut-scenes use hand-drawn backgrounds that you don't have battle on. The reason why Another Code doesn't look as good as this is because it uses a combination of pre-renders and fully 3D objects. CoM is a fully 2D title, nothing is pre-rendered or 3D so it should not be so much of a surprise as to why this game looks so much better.

  • Actually, the resolution ratio is corect in the screens. As they're scans, there may be a few pixels stretched, but all screens are 4:3 pixels, the very same as the DS's resolution (256x192). I'm 99% sure these are genuine screens.

  • I won't believe these screenshots until I see them on my DS screen. =P Other than those character artwork fraud things, I'm of course loving the graphics in this game.

    J-Fox, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • Oh, OH, damn, than there's something wrong with my copy of Another Code 'cuz I can see the pixels on the character artworks clearly. Oooooh, maybe it's a pirate version or something. Pffffft. =P

    J-Fox, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • That's real stupid what they're doing. They're putting artwork images on the screenshots so that it looks like the game would have better graphics, or in other words the DS screens would magically have a bigger resolution. This is why I used to doubt that these pictures were really from the DS version. Really annoying.

    J-Fox, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • can we keep it nice and clean please? :) (just a small request from me though)

    Dennis, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • What the hell... Buy better glasses or something, y'all. What I was talking about are the character artwork pictures that are on the bottom left and right corners of the screenshots when a person or two are talking, you can see these in all of the scans except for scan 2. The bigger screenshots in scan 3 are propably the best examples. Take a look at any of these screenshots and look closely at the tiny characters and you can see the pixels. Fuck it, if you got a DS just turn it on, any game, you can see that the DS screens don't have that big of a resolution to show as detailed character artwork as there are on these pictures. I know it's not just a "higher revolution" like jj984jj said, I don't believe that all of you are high and can't see what I'm talking about. I know you canadiens smoke a lot of marijuana, though. =¤ ...So if you're not canadian and not a part of this "higher revolution" then use your eyes and tell me what you see. Sorry for exploiting you spelling mistake, jj984jj. "Just had to do it." =P

  • ... PS2 games often show pics from cut scenes, so that people think that the game looks better, before they buy it. Thats real annoying

    hazuki, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • j-fox, I quess you´re talking about scan 3, right? Those pics are from game´s anime cutscenes that are made by Production IG (known from Kill Bill anime part and Neon Genesis Evangelion: End of Evangelion for example). So, those screens aren´t suppose to be gameplay pics, they are from cutsecenes. Oh and yeah, all those games looks awesome. Rune Factory has brilliant 3D and Children of Mana has some of the most beatiful 2D I´ve ever seen! :O And about Animal Crossing... Well, it´s AC! ^_^ And AC = Pure awesomeness.

  • Children of Mana, Scan 4. B&W Gameboy game being played on a GBC/GBA. Why is this with? Is it to show Square's first portibal game or is this a bonus in the game?

    hazuki, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • Actually those are mostly screens of the game in just a slighly higher revolution j-fox. The art appears when people talk in the game.

    Jay, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • wow, is that a paintball gun in the 2nd AC pic?

    MikeMania, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • Oh, sorry. I was of course talking about the Children Of Mana scans.
