ALL Updated Ubisoft Releaseschedule Q2 FY

A renewed release schedule for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2005/2006. Two 'new' titles for the GBA. Update The true nature of Rayman 10th Anniversary has been revealed. Head inside to see what the game really is...

During Q2 (July - September), Ubisoft is planning to release:Rayman 10th Anniversary (GBA)Alexandra Ledermann 6 / Pippa Funnel (GBA, Europe-only)and Lunar Dragon Song (NDS, United States-only)

Ubisoft has not yet released any information on the new GBA titles, but we do know Alexandra Ledermann and Pippa Funnell from sports, although it appears that Ubisoft missed out the last character on both names. Ledermann and Funnell are both well-known names from the horseback-riding scene, and starred in their own videogames before on PC. Now, the GBA appears to get a single game starring both riders... and their horses.

Ubisoft also acknowledged that of all their sales in the first quarter of the fiscal year, 19% were GameBoy Advance games and 31% consisted of Nintendo DS games. That's 50% in total for the Nintendo handhelds! Compared to the mere 3% for the GBA last year, Ubisoft will surely take note of this fact and continue to support the handhelds we all love so much.

Update The true nature of Rayman 10th Anniversary has been revealed.

Apparently, Rayman 10th Anniversary will be a limited edition, you guessed it right, doublepack! After Majesco, THQ, Disney Interactive and many others, Ubisoft decides to throw in a special doublepack for the GameBoy Advance as well.

Rayman 10th Anniversary will contain both the GBA launchtitle Rayman Advance and its sequel Rayman 3.

  • Different companies in different markets do end their fiscal year at different times. Most gaming companies end their fiscal year in March.
