Need for Speed Underground 2 DS - First View
The first visuals from Need for Speed Underground 2 DS have come in... Update - A bigger version of the screen just came in, plus some info. Update - Yet another update to inform you that the entire article has been scanned.
The cover of Nintendo Power, Nintendo of America's official magazine, showed a tiny screenshot of Need for Speed Underground 2 DS. We know it's not much, but we did not want to hold this news from you.
As can be seen, the action in Need for Speed Underground 2 DS will be on the top screen, while the bottom screen will merely show a map of the track as was the case in Asphalt Urban GT from Ubi Soft.
Update - A bigger version of the screen just came in, plus some info.
The magazine also revealed some information on the game. For starters, the usage of nitro boosts is done using the normal controls. However, modulating the flow will be done using the touchscreen. The touchscreen will also be used for designing your own decales to liven up your car.
Need for Speed Underground 2 DS will feature multiplayer racing for up to 4 people.
Update - Yet another update to inform you that the entire article has been scanned.
Someone over at WarpPipe's forums has scanned the article from Nintendo Power. More screenshots and background information on the game can be found here.

It's coming out sometime in March.
oh and when is this game being released in the US??
im gettin this game 4 shure.
Cableman, all too often you simply fail to make sense. =/
!!!!!!!!!!
Cableman just got owned.
you're right about that. Just realised Nintendo Power isn't the free magazine as we had here in the Netherlands. And after EGM on our tail because of Castlevania DS... *sigh* Actually, a legal study (due to some Playboy lawsuit against a Dutch blog) from 2 weeks ago showed that it's not illegal to mirror scans. It's illegal to scan the copyrighted material, not to host the digital format, nor is it to deeplink to that material.
I have a feeling I'm gonna wana buy tis game.
Crap that doesn't just look good, that looks fugging beautiful.
Doesn't look to bad, from what I can see, But it doesnt look like they are using the DS's other capabilities. Still, not every game should use them in my opinion.
who do they always use the green car?? but anywayz, the graphics are awesome!!
sweet!!!!!
and what's that Cableman? The cover of the next issue of Nintendo Power ::)
Misleading in what way? Did we ever claim to have multiple screenshots? The article title is "First View", and we accurately creditied it to Nintendo Power. I don't see what your problem is.
Man my Power hasn't come in yet. I always love the NOP Awards!
Thanks for sharing that with us Dennis!
it looks good from that pic but we cant judge from one good pic
Not bad at all. I might even have to get it. Even if it is an EA game.
Looking forward to this one.
Nice graphics! It rivals those of the console games! But I thought the Need for Speed title was Most Wanted or Rivals or something.
