ALL Find Link Up Friends

While we're waiting for Nintendo, XLink and WarpPipe to show their online capabilities, find some link-up friends yourself.

For a lot of gamers, it's hard to find people to link their games with. Either your friends don't have the game, or they might not even have the handheld yet. LinkUp Engine is an initiative to create a big (free) database for Nintendo DS, PSP and GBA owners geographically close to you, then arrange to meet them and play games.

How does it work? You simply sign up and state where you live (no personal details asked, just the city you live in and postal code) and which platforms you own. From that point, people can send you personal messages to see whether you're interested in a meeting to play games or have a nice PictoChat drawing-session. Of course you can also search the database yourself to see whether people live near you, and then decide whether to contact them or not.

  • I hope a lot of people report themselves or else it wouldn't work...
