Nintendo-x2.com now on a secure connection

That's right, we're still alive (yet less "and kicking"). Nonetheless, we made sure that your connection with Nintendo-x2.com is now secure.

Nintendo-x2.com has been around on the internet for about 16 years now. All that time, you were able to request our content over a plain HTTP connection. Over time, we added more functionality to the site, including the forums and being able to leave comments on a newspost. Nowadays, one may expect that your login credentials are secure. Even though your credentials have always been stored in a secure (hashed) format, our connections were not yet encrypted... until now!

In other news, you may have noticed that we haven't been around much. Andrew started travelling the world, Dennis got married and became a father - all good reasons to spend a little less time on the website we brought to life years ago. But this may be where you come in.

Nintendo never stopped. With the Switch incoming next month, there's bound to be a whole lot of bees and games to write about. If you are interested in running the site (and are planning to dedicate a fair share of time and effort), you have our ears: feel free to contact us with your ideas on how you see this work. What support would you need, how much time do you have available and, most importantly, how much would you like to restore Nintendo-x2.com to its former glory?
