3DS Deer Drive Legends to arrive after all

Were you already expecting a cancelled release of Deer Drive Legends for Nintendo 3DS? It took two months of development more than anticipated, but the game will be released in two weeks from now.

Maximum Family Games today announced the new release date of Deer Drive Legends for the Nintendo 3DS. Previously scheduled to launch in March of 2012, the game will now hit shelves May 22, 2012, after an additional two months of development.

The game takes players across four continents to hunt big game such as bears, antelope, moose, elk, deer, and mountain lions. Additionally, players have the opportunity to stalk prehistoric species such as the Smilodon, T-Rex, and Gastornis. The game is unique in that it offers both traditional hunting targets as well as the chance to take out animals never before seen by the human eye, blending the ordinary with the extraordinary.

"Having spent extra time working with the developers of Deer Drive Legends, we are confident that this game will satisfy hunting enthusiasts while impressing both casual and hard core gamers with its realistic 3D effects," said Len Ciciretto, president of Maximum Family Games.

Developed by Raylight Games, Deer Drive Legends features more than 30 exotic and elusive animals like wooly rhinos, white-tailed deer, wolves, and Irish elk, as well as a large arsenal of weapons with which to hunt. As players embark on expeditions across the African Savannah, Rocky Mountains, and Great Lakes, they will unlock new environments and weapons, as well as collect trophies as each successful kill is made.

"This game will, without a doubt, be the most advanced hunting game developed exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS," said Massimiliano Di Monda, CEO of Raylight Games. "We are thrilled to finally be sharing it with the world!"
