Rambi Stampedes into Donkey Kong Country Returns

After a boxart for the game appeared online and gave hope for the return of Rambi, Retro Studios have finally announced his return to the new Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Rambi, one of the beloved characters from the earlier Donkey Kong Country titles, will indeed be making a triumphant return to a TV screen near you in the Retro Studios developed Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii. To celebrate the announcement, so to speak, the below trailer gives you a look at Rambi's return and should definitely kick the hype meter into gear if you were previously on the fence about the game:

The return of Rambi has raised questions over whether any other characters will return for the new game and while no official announcement has been made in that respect, we can only hope that more classic characters return.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is set for release in North America on Nov. 21st while a European date remains a vague Winter 2010, with some sources claiming a December release. We'll bring you news on a European release date when it becomes available.
