NDS Zoo Games announces four of Empire's titles

Zoo Publishing acquired the rights to Empire Interactive's recent projects a while ago. Today, the company officially announced four of those projects for Nintendo DS.

After acquiring the rights to Empire Interactive's intellectual property earlier, Zoo Publishing today announced they will publish and distribute four titles from PlayFirst. Zoo will be bringing four of the most popular franchises in casual games to Nintendo DS this holiday season: Diner Dash: Flo on the Go, Wedding Dash, Chocolatier and Dream Chronicles.

The success of these four titles is astounding. The Diner Dash franchise has recorded over 400 million downloads since its inception late in 2004. Since then, PlayFirst has released three sequels to the original, solidifying the franchise as one of the most widely recognized brands in casual gaming. Diner Dash: Flo on the Go will feature everyone's favorite waitress, Flo, as she takes on five all-new restaurants while "vacationing" in paradise!

Dream Chronicles, Chocolatier, and Wedding Dash also by PlayFirst have flourished into thriving franchises. Each game has had over 25 million downloads, prompting sequels that give gamers more of the sensational casual titles they love.

"PlayFirst has really done an incredible job building highly recognizable gaming brands using unique gameplay, rich characters, and strong storylines," says Mark Seremet, CEO of Zoo Games, Inc. "The popularity of these titles is really astounding, and we at Zoo are thrilled to expand the audience for these games by releasing them on Nintendo DS."

"At PlayFirst, we are continually looking for new ways to reach our fans through a variety of platforms and the prevalence of DS helps us extend that reach," said Mari Baker, CEO of PlayFirst. "We look forward to a new working relationship with Zoo Publishing that will enable our established and future titles to see continued success within the handheld market."
