PS Vita
« on: January 06, 2012, 03:17:00 PM »
I'm a huge fan of handheld gaming so I'm likely to receive one of these but is anyone else prepared to shell out over £200 on a portable device? Most of the gamers I know would much rather play their Playstation games on a big screen; the same thing which brought the PSP down.

The initial line-up looks quite good but can SONY regain that all important third party support? What do you all think?

I've never been a fan of Sony consoles. Something just puts me off about them. I got an xbox over a PS3 (even though the only exclusive titles I bought for the system have been Kinect based or Forza) when there is quite a few titles I've bought which I've enjoyed much more than Nintendo games of late which are for both systems. Looking at the PS3 exclusives, the only real swayers for me are 3D Dot Heroes or Journey. But that's kind of going off trail.

Vita wise, I'm not to sure that the multiple model idea would work well for them handheld wise. I feel that the 3G model will end up not been picked up as much and in return possibly cancelled in many areas at some point. Especially in Australia (with many retailers only stocking the Wifi model due to 3G agreements with various retailers and suppliers).

Game wise there hasn't been much to attract me to the console, however New Little King story (or what ever its called) does seem interesting, but I feel its cashing in on the originals reputation and not really going to continue its legacy.

I think its just got what the 3DS had last year, and what it still has (to be fair its getting better). I think it will shake out of it eventually like the 3DS is.

I’m not satisfied with it because the game collection is not so cool.

I agree with you and I have seen many complaining about that.
