Wii/Wii U Discussion / Re: Wii U Rumor Watch

I wouldn't really say any but it's not so much the initial line-up but what happens in the following months. The Vita was reasonably strong but since the release date, nothing really to speak of.

Let's hope they don't make the same mistake they made with the 3DS. They'll need a killer line-up to compete with the other consoles out there. A Professor Layton and a Resident Evil could be good though.

Resident Evil: Revelations is an early contender for game of the year.

Some of the new footage of the Wii-U in action looks promising but I'm sure we'll get loads more (including actual games) at E3.

Moon and Source code were brilliant and both directed by David Bowie's son.

I really enjoy a good film but last years quality offerings was incredibly thin on the ground. My favourites were:

The Guard
Midnight in Paris
The Artist

Did I miss anything?

I'm a huge fan of handheld gaming so I'm likely to receive one of these but is anyone else prepared to shell out over £200 on a portable device? Most of the gamers I know would much rather play their Playstation games on a big screen; the same thing which brought the PSP down.

The initial line-up looks quite good but can SONY regain that all important third party support? What do you all think?

I'm probably similar to you in that I'll wait and see what games are released with it but I agree with you, it must be a stronger line-up that we had with the 3DS. Hopefully there will be a bundle which will be wonderful. There's still a great deal of discussion regarding when the system will actually be released although everything appears to point to a Q4 window.

It's fair to say that the 3DS has had a bit of a rocky start but what are your must have games for the system.

My Current Top 5 is:

1. Order Up!
2. Super Mario 3D Land
3. Mario Kart 7
4. Pilotwings Resort
5. Ridge Racer 3D

Most Looking Forward to:

Luigi's Mansion 2

So, what about you. What are your favourites? Have we missed out on a underrated but great game? Let us know.
