GST is a single form of tax that is applicable all over the country. Under this regime, a tax is charged at each point of sale. When GST was implemented, businesses could no longer rely on traditional books and accounting. They had to make an expensive switch to the latest GST compliant Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to keep the business running.

By now, all of us are familiar with the Goods and Services Tax (GST). But what are the advantages and disadvantages of GST? That is a question that not many still have answers to. The following are the advantages and disadvantages of GST over the complicated tax regime that preceded it.
