Without smart tactics or voice chat, the overwhelming level of adversaries - that can come from all of angles - will take your group on their keens. This bulk of the game comes about within the development experience, and the individuality of one's avatar. Of course, as with great story telling, Flynn double crosses Drake when the they get their hands on the oil lamp leaving Drake to handle the security guards on his own.
