Treasure title revealed

Mecha, missiles, and fruit? Oh yes, it's Bangai-o Spirits for the Nintendo DS. Update: More info from 1UP Update 2: First Famistu scan!

Treasure finally reveals their new Nintendo DS game, Bangai-O Spirits. Not much is known about the title currently but it's safe to assume it will be somewhat similar to the Dreamcast version, possibly with touch controls? Bangai-O Spirits will be shown at Tokyo Game Show this year so expect some updates/info soon.

Update: More info from 1UP.com, via Famitsu translation.

"In the DS version, the lower screen displays the game screen, while the upper screen displays the stage map. Multiplayer is also featured via wireless, where you can compete with friends for the highest score and cooperate on boss battles. You can also create stages in the new edit mode and play them with friends. New sets of rules, such as adding enemies using the touch pen, are also being incorporated in this mode.

Published by ESP, Bangai-O Spirits is scheduled for a winter release in Japan."
